Membership Guide

One Month Free - Founding Family offer

We’re so excited to welcome our Founding Families to Buzz ’A’ Beat, and we want your start with us to feel relaxed, joyful, and completely pressure-free. Your introductory offer includes your first four weeks of Group Piano Lessons or Baby & Me Piano Time at no cost.

Although we call it a “one month free” offer, it’s truly based on four actual weeks of Lessons or Piano Time - not calendar weeks. This means your four free weeks are counted only when classes are running, and they do not include Winter/Christmas Break weeks, when regular Lessons and Piano Time are paused.

There is no commitment required during your free period. You’re welcome to enjoy your classes and settle in at your own pace. If the program doesn’t feel like the right fit, you may cancel anytime up to two (2) days after your last free Group Piano Lesson or Baby & Me Piano Time, and you won’t be charged.

If you choose to continue after your four-week introduction (and we hope you do!), your Membership will simply begin on the next scheduled billing date, with everything communicated clearly in advance.

We’ve designed this offer so families can experience the joy, warmth, and musical magic of Buzz ’A’ Beat before making any decisions.

Memberships are billed in advance on the first of each month

If your family starts partway through a month, no problem - your first payment is simply prorated so you only pay for the days your little one is actually with us.

For example, if your Membership begins on February 16th, you’ll only be billed for the remaining days in February, and then your regular monthly billing will begin on March 1st.

We want everything to feel clear and fair, so you always know exactly what you’re paying for as your child settles in and begins their musical journey with us.

We understand that family schedules can change and you may cancel

If you ever need to cancel your Monthly Membership, you may do so up to five days before the first of the upcoming month. This ensures we have time to adjust our class lists and welcome families from our waitlist.

Cancellations made within five days of the new month will take effect the following month, and your Membership will remain active until then.

Our goal is always to keep things clear, flexible, and supportive for families as your little one grows with us.

Monthly Memberships assume an average of four weeks per month

Because every month looks a little different - some have five weeks, and some include school holidays or breaks like Mid-Winter Break - we use a simple system to keep things fair for all families.

At the end of each calendar quarter (March, June, September, and December), we take a moment to review the actual number of class weeks in that quarter.

  • If there were fewer than 12 weeks, we'll automatically add a credit to your account.
  • If there were more than 12 weeks, any extra class time will be billed at that point.

Our goal is to make things easy and transparent, so you always feel confident that you’re paying only for the weeks your little one is actually learning and growing with us.

We follow the school-year rhythm

To help keep routines simple for families, we do not hold classes on TDSB or TCDSB School Year Holidays, or during Mid-Winter Break and Winter/Christmas Break.

On PA Days, however, our regular classes continue as usual.

We also offer special camp days during March Break and Winter/Christmas Break, giving children a joyful way to stay engaged, creative, and musical while school is closed.

Monthly Memberships continue through summer

At Buzz ’A’ Beat, learning doesn’t stop when the weather warms up! Our Weekly Group Piano Lessons and Baby & Me Piano Time continue throughout the summer months, giving children consistency, confidence, and a joyful musical routine all year long.

Summer is also a wonderful time for extra creativity and exploration. In addition to our regular weekly classes, we offer Summer Camp - fun, music-filled camp days designed to keep little ones engaged, inspired, and happily active during the holiday months.

Families often tell us that summer is when their children make especially big leaps — with more relaxed schedules, little musicians arrive excited, focused, and ready to grow.

Vacation Pause option

We know families travel, especially during school breaks and summertime. To support you, each family may request up to two (2) Membership pauses per calendar year for vacations or extended time away.

Pauses allow you to take a break without losing your child’s spot in their lesson or class. During a pause, billing is temporarily held and resumes automatically when you return to your regular schedule.

We just ask that vacation pauses be requested at least one week in advance, so we can plan for your little one’s class and ensure everything runs smoothly for all families.

Membership fees are non-refundable - Missed Lessons can be made up

We understand that little ones get sick, families travel, and life gets busy. While Membership fees are non-refundable, we offer private makeup lessons and guided practice sessions that you can easily book right on our website.

These makeup options give your child a chance to stay on track, build confidence, and keep their musical momentum going, even if they miss a scheduled lesson.

You’ll find available times and booking options directly on our website, making it simple and stress-free to stay connected to your child’s musical journey.

Your child's safety and wellbeing

At Buzz ’A’ Beat, your child’s safety and wellbeing are always at the heart of everything we do. We want families to feel confident, protected, and cared for the moment they walk through our doors. That’s why our studio is built with a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to safety:

  • Our studio is protected by 24/7 security monitoring, with immediate access to fire and police response if ever needed.
  • We use exterior security cameras and classroom cameras to support a safe, transparent environment.
  • Each classroom features glass doors, allowing parents to peek in at any time without interrupting the learning experience.
  • Team members undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check and maintain First Aid & CPR certification.
  • We clean and disinfect instruments and toys after each class to keep our space fresh and hygienic
  • We maintain strict privacy and information-handling protocols, ensuring your child’s experiences remain safe, secure, and protected.

Our goal is for every family to feel at ease, knowing their little one is learning, growing, and exploring in a space that truly puts safety first.
